Genelle Guzman-McMillan is the last survivor to be pulled from the rubble of the World Trade Center after the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Trapped under debris for 27 hours after the North Tower collapsed, she held onto faith and hope, ultimately emerging with a powerful testimony of survival and spiritual transformation.
Originally from Trinidad, Guzman-McMillan was working in the Twin Towers when the attacks occurred. As she lay buried, she prayed and reflected on her life, making a promise to God to change if she survived. Rescuers found her the next day, making her survival a symbol of endurance and divine intervention.
Since then, she has shared her story in her book Angel in the Rubble and as a motivational speaker, inspiring others with her journey of faith, resilience, and new purpose. Her experience continues to serve as a testament to hope and the power of second chances.
